The 23rd September the Lucca Summer Festival will end in style its special 20th Edition hosting one of most famous and loved bands of all times. After three years from their last concert in Rome, the Rolling Stones come back to Italy. For this unique date of the summer tour they chose the walled city of Lucca , one of most beautiful cities of Tuscany, and famous for the second biggest comic exhibits in the world, Lucca Comics and Games. It is the first time that such a big event takes place there. The Lucca Summer Festival is the main event of the Tuscan Summer for music and on this year falls its 20th anniversary. While The Rolling Stones show takes place under the walls, the main stage of the other concerts of the Summer Festival is in picturesque Piazza Napoleone , also named by locals as Piazza Grande. It was built on under the Napoleonic Empire in place of houses, post offices, salt warehouses, and even of a church, with the intent to give more importance to the Palazzo Ducale, the cornerstone of the public life in Lucca at that time.

The Rolling Stones in Lucca. It’s only rock n’roll!
Lucca, Italy, 23 rd September : The Struts, fronted by Luke Spillers who is surely the love child of Freddie Mercury and Ian Astbury, have done an excellent job of keeping us entertained for thirty minutes and have just left the stage. And then it begins; Woo-woo…woo-woo…woo-woo…woo-woo. Like 55, owls, we hoot in the dark, feathers quivering with anticipation. At Woo-woo…woo-woo; now our nocturnal call is mixed with thunderous applause and euphoric screaming that could wake Lucifer himself as the Stones unleash Sympathy for the Devil.
Lucca will go down as one of those special gigs where everything and everyone came together in accordance with my specifications. I believe it marked the Stones' first performance in Tuscany, and hopefully not the last. As for the boys in the band, it's probably about as good as it's going to get - which may not sound overly effusive, but nor is it a jab.
According to Pollstar. But we hope to be here in ! So we can very much look forward to a new album hopefully and tour next year! According to news sources, Mick is currently meeting promoters to secure dates likely to include HUGE stadium shows! Sources: contactmusic.
